Every religion in the world that has ever existed has had some form of worship ritual that has revolved around praising their God(s) and their entire society and culture is built around their fundamental religion that they believe in. For Christians, they go to the Church and pray from the sacred text (Bible) that they have, for Jews its Torah and for Muslims its The Holy Quran. The Holy Quran contains 114 Surahs and these Surahs contain an entire guideline for Muslims to live their lives by.
The Birth of Islam
The Islamic religion began with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Muhammad (PBUH) was 40 years old when Gabriel (AS) revealed the word from Allah Almighty and Muhammad (PBUH) started preaching the oneness of Allah. Initially, Muhammad (PBUH) received a lot of negative sentiment from the people of Makkah because their gods were denounced and because of this the people of Makkah expelled Muhammad (PBUH) from their town. Muhammad (PBUH) then made his way to Madinah where he was received with love by the residents of Madinah and then he would gather an army of around 10,000 and started his march towards Makkah. He took over Makkah without spilling almost no blood.
The Expansionary Phase
Since then, Islam has grown to be one of the largest religions of the world and this was done by Muslims armies and commanders who would expand Islam to new lands and preach the word of Allah Almighty. Many expeditionary missions were launched by various Muslim empires and Islam spread across the world to Asia, Europe and even Africa. If we talk about how Islam reached Europe then we have Andalusia(Modern day Spain)that was ruled by Islamic forces and was used as a Launchpad for expeditionary missions to other parts of Europe. In Russia, Islam reached the Caucasus and the people of the land converted to Islam and even today Russia has a thriving Islamic population.
