WhatsApp Introduces an Easier Way To Save Contacts

WhatsApp is a messaging app that was acquired by Facebook and since then it has been one of the largest messaging apps in the world. WhatsApp enables the users to contact people over voice call, video call and text messages. Over the years, WhatsApp has added numerous new features such as the Status as well as a Dark Mode.

Add Contacts via QR Codes

WhatsApp continues to bring new features to the App, the latest function to be tested in the Beta version is the use of QR to add a contact straight to the list. This method is used by Snapchat, and is an efficient way of saving contacts without going through the hassle of going through the conventional method of saving contacts.

The users have the benefit of toggling the QR code on/off and they can also create their own QR codes, while scan that of others. WhatsApp was brought to life in 2009 and was acquired by Facebook in 2014 for US$ 19.3 billion. It has subsequently gone on to become a hugely popular messaging app in Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

Privacy

WhatsApp enables its users to sign up using their phone numbers and communicate with other people across the globe. Unlike other messaging app, you can only contact people whose numbers you have saved on your phone, this keeps the privacy of the users intact. In addition to this, WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption to keep their users and their data safe, which means that no one can access the chats of the users.

User Experience

Unlike other popular messaging apps, WhatsApp does not run ads on its platform and that keeps the user experience a good one, as they are not interrupted by ads every time they send a message. In addition to this, running ads on the platform would have made it susceptible to data hack and invasion of privacy for the 2 billion people who use this app. WhatsApp is free to download and is available on both iOS and App Store, which means that all the Operating Systems can run this App and that, too, without having to pay even a penny.
