Xiaomi users are facing a touch screen response problem on new devices. Xiaomi has not found the issue behind this problem, but they said they are working on it. The point is not just with one device, but many are having the same issue. According to the Reddit thread, the following device that is having the problems are given below
- Xiaomi Mi 11
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
- Xiaomi 11 lite
- Xiaomi M1 10T Pro
- Xiaomi Note 10 Pro
- Xiaomi Note 9S
However, we are also not sure that these devices face the issues, but many users have reported the following phones above. Also, to fix the problem, many users have tried factory resetting the phone but still facing the same issue. Rebooting the phone fixes the problem temporarily, but again response problems.
Furthermore, some users also stated that they could solve the issue by removing the screen protector.
Currently, there is no clarification about how the problem is spreading worldwide the issue as there were very few mentions of touch sensitivity problems online. However, the company now understands the issue and promises its users to fix this problem as soon as possible.
See what a user from Xda has to say
“The Xiaomi Mi 11 series is the best set of Xiaomi devices to date, but it’s a shame to see this touch sensitivity problem crop up for some devices. In my case, it has been incredibly frustrating to use my phone, and the update to MIUI 12.5 has made me consider switching devices entirely. Unfortunately, factory resetting the Mi 11 Ultra didn’t fix the issue, and I haven’t found a way to fix it yet. I’ve found that rebooting can temporarily fix it, though sometimes the issue goes away by itself but then comes back pretty quickly. Whatever the cause maybe, I’m not alone, and it seems to be happening to some other people too.”
However, as Xiaomi takes time to find the problem and fix it, you can do some troubleshooting by yourself
- Try cleaning your smartphone with water on any other cleaning stuff before using your phone.
- Many have said they were able to solve the problem by rebooting the device, so you can also
- Hard reset is when your touch screen stops working
- Maybe the issue is from your touch screen or any other hardware related.
- The touch screen also stops working when there is some wetness inside the phone.
- Put the phone in safe mode.
